Why is our immune system under attack?

 Our Earth is a magnificent place, pristine lakes, majestic mountains, lush plant life and numerous varieties of animal life to entertain us for hours, days, weeks and  years.  Yet there is one inhabitant who lives on the Earth that is destroying all of the above.  Man…the caregiver of the earth is polluting the environment at a rate that is sending up alarm signals all over the planet.  While Scientists and Political leaders try to find answers to this out-of-control global dilemma, what can we personally do to protect ourselves and our loved ones?

Causes of a Weakened Immune System!

The most common causes of  health concerns today is the environment we live in.  I live in probably the most toxic area in North America, just across from the Automotive capital of Detroit, Michigan.  We also have a Nuclear Plant just across the river from where we live.  We have in our town, the highest rate of Cancer of any place in North America.  Do you think I am concerned about the health of myself and my family….you bet I am.  So what do I need to do to help us stay healthy?

One of the main faults of most North Americans is their lack of taking positive action before becoming ill.   An ounce of  ‘Prevention’ is worth a pound of cure!  Do you remember hearing that growing up?  Well if prevention is the answer, where do we start?

Eating a proper diet full of antioxidants and nutrients is an excellent precaution in fighting disease.  If we eat less fatty foods, sugar and carbohydrates our body will thank us.  But one of the problems is that by the time we get so called ‘healthy’ food into our mouths… it has lost most of it’s nutritional benefit to the human body.
